Recent Interpretive Master Plan:

Museum of the Aleutians,
Unalaska, Alaska

Quilt from Jesse Lee Home, 1916. Used by permission of the Museum of the Aleutians.

In 2006, Alice consulted with staff, board, and community members about future directions for the Museum. Her preliminary research had not prepared her for the astonishing beauty of the Aleutian Islands, the close connection to cycles of nature and weather, the depth of history, and the open friendliness of everyone she met. The purpose of her visit was to gather information for an interpretive plan.
